If the last year has taught us anything, it’s that the world can change on the flip of a dime. Your business reality changed overnight while the global pandemic became national headlines. The digital transformation that took place over the past 12 months has been nothing short of astonishing. Consumers traded in credit cards and cash for digital wallets and various contactless payment methods, in order to stay healthy.
We all know that customer payment preferences have evolved and moved faster into the digital realm in the last year than we have seen in the past 10 years. However, now that we are one year in, will the digital transformation continue, or will it hit a plateau? Some software companies worked very long hours last year to accommodate contactless and digital features in their software but have since slowed down after last year’s exhausting sprint.
Now is not the time to slow innovation down. Consumer behavior has dictated the last 12 months and will continue to do so as consumers realize that more now than ever, technology can meet their needs. Someone just has to build it.
